HopeKL Christmas Contest
The Christmas Contest will consist of 2 parts, namely Part 1: Joyous Draw and Part 2: Photo Contest (collectively referred to as “the Contest”) .
How to Join
Part 1: Joyous Draw
To take part in the Draw, register your participation at http://christmas.hopekl.org by providing your full name, age range, email, phone number and other necessary details requested therein.
Part 2: Photo Contest
To take part in the Photo Contest, the participants must take a picture of Christmas outfit or house decoration and describe what Christmas means to the participant. The uploaded post by the participant must be hashtag #HopeKLChristmas2020.
The participant is to ensure the post is made public. Private or restricted posts will not qualify.
Terms and Conditions
This Contest is organized by HopeKL. The Contest is governed by the terms and conditions (including any amendments made thereto by HopeKL from time to time) herein contained (“Terms and Conditions”) which will be published on our social media page (“Contest Page”). By participating in the Contest, it shall be deemed that you have read, understood and accepted the Terms and Conditions and of any other relevant terms applicable and available on HopeKL’s platform and by the decisions of HopeKL, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
Please do not proceed with the participation of the Contest if you do not accept any of the Terms and Conditions.
• Eligibility:
To participate in the Contest, you, the participant must be a legal resident of Malaysia and possess a valid e-wallet in Malaysia. For the avoidance of doubt, Non-Malaysians who has a valid e-wallet and Malaysian address are eligible to participate.
• Contest Period:
Part 1: Joyous Draw
The Draw begins at 19th December 2020 at 7.00 pm (“Draw Period”).
All entries received after the Draw Period shall automatically be disqualified.
Part 2: Photo Contest
The Photo Contest begins from 1st December 2020 and ends on 19th December 2020 at 7.00 pm (“Contest Period”).
All entries received after the Contest Period shall automatically be disqualified.
• Winning Selection and Announcement
Part 1: Joyous Draw
Winners will be selected by HopeKL amongst the qualified Submissions. The name of the participants will go into wheel of names and on 19th December 2020, HopeKL will utilise a software to pick up names of the potential winners on random basis. The potential winners will need to call in/SMS to the phone number HopeKL provided on 19th December 2020 within 1 minute upon the name being announced by HopeKL during the Christmas Event. Failure to call in within 1 minute will automatically result in disqualifying the potential winner from winning the prize.
HopeKL will proceed to call on next potential winners. The Potential Winners who successfully called in within 1 minute upon the name being announced by HopeKL during the Christmas Event is entitled to a prize determined by HopeKL.
Part 2: Photo Contest
Winners will be identified among all eligible entries received by HopeKL the most ‘LIKES’ post, identified by HopeKL on 19th December 2020 at 7.00pm.
We may opt to announce the results of the Contest in our social media page and/or other online platform own and operated by us within SEVEN (7) working days after the end of Contest Period.
For delivery of the Prize, we may opt to contact the Winner via e-mail/phone call (“Notification”). In the Notification, we may ask for your personal information for verification purposes and/or to arrange for delivery of the prizes. The Winner is responsible respond to the Notification to provide their details (full name, NRIC/Passport Number, date of birth, contact number, mailing address & e-mail address) within TEN (10) days from the date of Notification. Failure to do the above, prizes shall be forfeited or disposed of at the discretion of HopeKL.
HopeKL reserves the right to disqualify or reject, at its sole and absolute discretion, any contestants and/or revoke or forfeit any prizes at any stage of the Contest if HopeKL is of the opinion that:
1. the participant is not eligible in accordance to the terms herein stated;
2. the entries are incomplete and/or failure to comply with any of the Terms and Conditions;
3. the participant breaches any of the Terms and Conditions or other rules and regulations of the Contest or violates any applicable laws or regulations;
4. the participant has undermined or tampered or attempted to undermine or tamper the operation or process of the Contest in any way whatsoever, including but not limited to fraud, cheating or deception.
• Prizes
Each winner will receive a prize allocated by HopeKL at its absolute discretion. Prize may be subject to additional terms and conditions and it is the winner’s responsibility to read and understand such terms and conditions.
Prizes are not exchangeable for cash or other deals or goods or credit of any kind. HopeKL reserves the right at its absolute discretion to substitute any of the prizes with alternative prizes or similar value at anytime without prior notice. The prizes are given on an “as is” basis.
All prizes will be delivered to the stated mailing address after HopeKL has received the winner’s personal information via e-mail/SMS. HopeKL reserves the right to request from the winner proof of his/her identification before giving out the Prize.
Prizes will not be shipped beyond Malaysia and failure to provide a valid address within Malaysia will be deemed as winner forfeiting the rights to the Prize.
Disclaimer, Indemnity and Right of HopeKL
The participants understand and agree that the access to the Contest Page, the participation of the Contest and the usage of the Contest is solely at his/her own risk and the participants agree to assume full responsibility and agree that HopeKL shall not under any circumstances be liable to any participants or other person whether in tort, contract, statute or otherwise for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage and costs, and for damages for any loss of profit or revenue or otherwise, arising out of or in connection to any use of, access to, participation or inability to use or access or participate in the Contest and that HopeKL makes no warranty or representation of any kind, including but without limitation to the following:
(i) the continuous, uninterrupted and error-free operation of the Contest;
(ii) the accuracy of the information or statement provided herein;
(iii) freedom from any actual, direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss, destruction, damage, corruption, attack, interference, hacking, or other security intrusions whatsoever; or
(iv) the security and freedom from any computer viruses or other contaminating or harmful properties.
The participants acknowledge and agree that to the fullest extent permitted by law, HopeKL disclaims any and all liabilities for any claims for damages, losses, costs and/or expenses arising from or related to the Contest.
By participating in this Contest, the participants grant HopeKL and its partners and affiliates an irrevocable, royalty free, perpetual, license to use their Submission (including all copyrighted material contained therein) and/or to feature them in any advert or promotional material (including release of their photographs) as well as the right to use their personal data for the purposes of this Contest/Joyous Draw or for marketing purposes without any compensation whatsoever. The winners undertake to provide such documents in this regard as may be requested by HopeKL.
Intellectual Property Rights
The Contest Page and Contest and any information available on it including, but not limited to, text, graphics, photographs, diagrams, symbols, icons, images, music, source codes, softwares and trademarks (including the collection, arrangement and compilation of such information), are protected by copyright, design, trade mark and other intellectual property rights owned by or licensed to HopeKL, its licensors or other third parties.
Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”)
a) By participating in this Contest, all participants consent to allow HopeKL to process and disclose to any third party, all personal data of the participants provided by the participants pursuant to this Contest/Joyous Draw for any and all purposes relating to this Contest and any and all other activity relating to HopeKL including, without limitation for the running of this Contest/Joyous Draw without additional compensation, notification or permission.
b) The participants acknowledge that HopeKL is authorized to process the personal data provided pursuant to this Contest/Joyous Draw in accordance with the law of Malaysia.

Other Terms
HopeKL reserves the right to change, suspend or alter the terms and conditions of the Contest, or terminate the Contest, at any time and for any reason.
HopeKL’s decisions on all matters relating to this Contest are final and binding and no correspondence will be entertained.
